What is Apocalypse Cuisine?

Apocalypse Cuisine is a food education and resilience project focused on cooking, homesteading, and practical food skills. Through recipes, experiments, classes, and educational content, we explore ways to become more capable in the kitchen and more connected to where our food comes from.

Why is it called Apocalypse Cuisine?

The name started as a joke during the COVID-19 pandemic when I began sharing meals created from what I already had available in my freezer and pantry. What started as a fun hashtag became a larger philosophy: learning how to cook, adapt, and create something meaningful with the resources you have.

Is this a survival/prepper website?

Apocalypse Cuisine is about resilience, not fear. While emergency preparedness and food storage are part of the conversation, the focus is everyday skills — cooking from scratch, preserving food, growing some of your own ingredients, and becoming more self-reliant.

Who is Apocalypse Cuisine for?

Anyone who wants to become more confident with food. Whether you are a parent trying to feed your family better, someone learning to cook, a homesteader, or simply someone who enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, there is something here for you.

Do I need a farm or homestead to follow along?

Absolutely not. The goal is not that everyone needs acres of land or a perfect setup. Small steps matter — learning a recipe, growing a garden bed, preserving food, or understanding where your food comes from all build valuable skills.

Are the recipes exact measurements?

Sometimes. Cooking is both a science and an art. Many recipes are intentionally flexible because learning how flavors work is more valuable than following a formula without understanding it. You may see instructions like “a few shakes,” “a big spoonful,” or “season to taste.” Make it your own.

Do you sell food or animals?

Apocalypse Cuisine may offer products, educational materials, classes, and other opportunities as the homestead and business continue to grow. Check back for current offerings.

Do you offer classes or workshops?
